The Grace Hopper Celebration India (GHCI) 17, Opens Call for Submissions

Bengaluru, 04 April, 2017: The Anita Borg Institute (ABI), a non-profit organization focused on the advancement of women in computing and technology, today announced the Call for Submissions for its flagship conference in India, the Grace Hopper Celebration India (GHCI) 17. The conference will take place on 16 and 17 November, 2017 in Bangalore. GHCI 17 is produced by the Anita Borg Institute (ABI) and presented in partnership with ACM India.

ABI India invites submissions from women in technology including professionals(entry to senior management) from the industry, government and academia;entrepreneurs and students. Submissions are also welcome from men withtechnical backgrounds, corporate recruiters and consultants.

GHCI 17 offers a variety of technical tracks which will include sessionson Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning and Data MiningBig Data, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud, EmergingTechnologies, Human Computer Interaction and Systems Engineering. There is anew exciting track called the ‘Techno Social Innovation’ focusing ontechnologies having a positive social impact. GHCI 17 also has a trackdedicated to management and leadership skills, which are imperative to anytechnical job. GHCI is the largest technical conference for women in India and providesopportunities to gain professional visibility, network and get inspiration fromother women in technology. In 2016, GHCI had 2,909 attendees from 305 corporateand academic organizations.
