IFIM Law College commences admissions for its BBA.LLB Program

Bangalore, May 23, 2017: IFIM Law College, Bangalore is inviting applications for its five-year integrated BBA.LLB program which is slated to begin on August 7, 2017.

The Karnataka State Law University-affiliate promises to churn out industry-responsible lawyers by imparting value-based education. IFIM Law College is known for holistic development of students by providing both practical and theoretical knowledge. It focuses on Corporate Law and is approved by Bar Council of India (BCI).

Mr. Subramanya Sirish Tamvada, Dean - IFIM Law College, says, “At IFIM Law College, we are nurturing tomorrow’s corporate lawyers, to be job-ready from today. The pedagogy focuses on bridging the gap between theory and practice, by offering practical exposure to students through law clinics and so on. This is where the law college has innovated and introduced several new techniques such as a digital moot court hall and technology enabled classrooms.”

The unique features of IFIM Law College include the student-run Moot Court Society, Debating Society, Cultural Society and Legal Aid Cell. In the past academic year, IFIM has also signed in MOUs with National Law School, Bangalore and Brooklyn Law School, New York. In addition, the Law College was recently ranked 4th in the category of Promising Law Colleges by the GHRDC Annual Survey 2017.

IFIM Law College’s strength lies in Corporate Law, Corporate Finance, Banking and Insurance Law, Competition Law, Trade Law, Environmental Law, Intellectual Property Law, Maritime Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution methods and other commercial laws. IFIM Law College also benefits from the expertise of the IFIM Business School and both institutes work in collaboration. Various research centres such as centre for excellence on corporate and commercial law; medical law; consumer laws; alternative dispute resolution and women, child and law have been established to cultivate research culture among students.

Additionally, IFIM Law College has a dedicated internship and placement cell which facilitates internships with reputed law firms in-house legal departments, public policy think-tanks and NGOs in their final semester. Eligibility criteria:

• 10+2 passoutor an equivalent examination from any recognized board with a minimum of 45%marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ST candidates)

• Themaximum age limit for a candidate is 20 years as on June 1, 2017 (22 years forSC/ST candidates)

Scholarships: Meritorious students are alsoeligible for a 50% or 100% fee waiver, under the Padode Foundation if thecriterion has been fulfilled.
